CRESTVIEW “Beyond The Sound of Music: The Real von Trapp Family and America’s Most Beloved Musical” will be presented by Crestview public information officer Brian Hughes at 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 23, during Family Library Time at the Crestview Public Library.
Hughes admitted he s a longtime aficionado of the film, stage musical, and the remarkable story of Baron Georg and Baroness Maria von Trapp, and their nine children.
“One summer evening between sixth and seventh grade, my mom took my brother and me to one of the last showings of The Sound of Music during its initial four-and-a-half-year run,” he said. “Those three magical and visually breathtaking hours in the Oakland Theatre in Warwick, New York, captivated me in many ways.”
Drop in outbreaks, hospitalizations as 45 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Waterloo region Wednesday
Waterloo region saw 45 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday and no new deaths related to the virus. The number of outbreaks in the region dropped by two and the number of people in hospital went down by five.
