Drop in outbreaks, hospitalizations as 45 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Waterloo region Wednesday
Waterloo region saw 45 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday and no new deaths related to the virus. The number of outbreaks in the region dropped by two and the number of people in hospital went down by five.

Region of Waterloo Public Health is reporting two more people have died after testing positive for COVID-19, bringing the total of deaths in the region since March to 137. Today we are reporting two deaths in our community where COVID-19 was a contributing factor, said Associate Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Ryan Van Meer, in an email statement to CBC News.
