HYDERABAD: As part of stricter implementation of the lockdown, the city police seized 205 vehicles that violated Covid norms laid down by the state government in the South Zone on Saturday. Motorists were seen arguing with policemen at several places in the Old City when their vehicles were seized for violating the lockdown norms. They complained that the police did not allow them to proceed even after showing valid reasons and proof.

People conned on pretext of providing gold at cheap rates
A registered medical practitioner (RMP) and three others were arrested by the Cyberabad police on Thursday for conning people on pretext of providing gold at a cheaper price.
The police arrested Syed Dasthagiri Ahmed, 65, an RMP from Old Mallepally, Shaik Hafeez, 46, of Charminar, Ali Akber Tayyabbi, 50, of Chatta Bazaar, and Mirza Abbas Ali Sajjad, 46, from Mir Alam Mandi, and seized 5.85 kg of gold coated brass biscuits and ₹8 lakh from their possession.

Hyderabad: Mir Alam Mandi, the oldest and biggest of all the markets in Hyderabad, currently lies in a pile of ruins, thanks to the monumental neglect by the authorities. That also continues to pose a serious threat to visitors and vendors.
The Nizam’s era building which is at the merge of falling is neglected by the authorities despite complaints by the locals. One of the shop vendore, nearby said, “Even though the matter has been taken to the notice of authorities concerned several times, no initiative.”
