The groom and his mother-in-law have been booked by Kanker Khera police in Meerut after the wedding which took place around an angeethi . Police said the girl s mother and her minor son are on the run after the marriage.

Meerut: Days after taking wedding vows around an angeethi , an interfaith couple has been on the run from Uttar Pradesh police. The incident took place in Kanker Khera area of Meerut district.
The groom has now been booked by the city police under the new Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion law. Police have also booked the mother of the bride.
