Dawood vows to resolve LCCI issues

Daily Times Pakistan is shifting to manufacturing state from trading July 20, 2021 Advisor to Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment Abdul Pazak Dawood has assured the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry to resolve the issue of 203 (8) and invoices soon. While speaking at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he said, “I will talk to the finance minister in this regard.” The advisor said the Prime Minister Imran Khan will have meetings with the presidents of the chambers of country to set export targets the next year. He said Pakistan is shifting to manufacturing state from trading. He said Uzbekistan has acquired 25 acres of land that will increase trade between the two countries. He said that the government is going to sign a transit trade agreement with Uzbekistan. He said that two flights between Pakistan and Uzbekistan will start soon.

Transit trade deal with Uzbekistan soon: Dawood - Newspaper

LAHORE: Adviser to Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood says both Pakistan and Uzbekistan have agreed to reciprocally allocate a piece of land measuring 25 acres soon for each other for trading of their goods to various countries. He says he would take up the issue of section 203-B (grant of powers of arrest to businessmen on suspicion of tax evasion) with the finance minister soon. “We are allocating a piece of land measuring 25 acres for Uzbekistan in Gwadar so that it could trade/export its goods to the countries in the middle-east onward. Reciprocally, Uzbekistan too has pledged to allocate a piece of land at Tashkent for us where our business community can trade its goods to Uzbekistan and Central Asian countries,” Mr Dawood said while speaking here at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) here on Monday.
