Stacy read One Fish Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish to two first grade classes from John Adams Elementary in Scranton via Zoom.
The school is celebrating a virtual Read Across America Week.
Each day has a special theme, and this was crazy sock day. There were guest readers throughout the week.
Read Across America Week takes place March 1 through March 5 this year and the theme is Celebrating a Nation of Diverse Readers.

Last night in order to honor one of the greatest authors of children’s books of all time, Dr. Seuss, I did FaceTime calls with my granddaughters so that they could read to me.
They chose to read “Hop On Pop,” “Oh The Places You’ll Go” and “One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish.” The girls’ reading skills have come a long way, but they still have to be careful through these tricky rhymes and the rhythm of the lines. This attention to detail helps their overall reading development. They have a selection of Dr. Seuss books at home and more at my house. I have been reading these books to them since they were very young. We have always enjoyed the humor, the rhymes and the illustrations.
