MINOT AIR FORCE BASE – Members of the 5th Bomb Wing and 91st Missile Wing at Minot Air Force Base were honored on Tuesday with Omaha Trophies for being top units in the armed forces.
Rear Adm. William W. “Trey” Wheeler III, chief of staff of U.S. Strategic Command at Offutt AFB, Neb., and Rita Sanders of the Strategic Command Consultation Committee, were at the base to make the presentation.

MINOT AIR FORCE BASE – A Medical Professional Appreciation Day, with a formal ceremony, will be held at Minot Air Force Base on Friday, Dec. 18.
Air Force Global Strike Command is hosting an appreciation day across all wings within its command on Wednesday. This day is to honor medical personnel from the 5th Medical Group because of their dedication and incredible work during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to information from Minot Air Force Base Public Affairs.
“Due to their selflessness and drive to keep our airmen and their families safe, our mission has continued without interruption. Bombers are flying, ICBM forces are on alert 24/7, and training is happening. Because of them, strikers across the command continue to serve and deploy around the world 24/7, safeguarding U.S. national interests and those of our allies and partners,” the information also said.
