BEAUFORT: It will be a bleak Raya for a family who were left homeless after fire destroyed their house at Kg Menanjung, here, Monday.
District Fire and Rescue Station Chief, Mohammad Hasbullah Nenggok said eight firefighters rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call at about 11.58am.
Firefighters had to source water from a water pump in addition to their water tanker to douse the fire.

Nobody was injured in the incident, while the cause of fire and estimated loss is still being probed.

The blaze completely destroys a warehouse in Kunak.
Kota Kinabalu: A warehouse and a house were destroyed in separate fires in Kunak and Beaufort on Tuesday and Monday, respectively.
The Tuesday fire involved a warehouse, which was completely razed at Jalan Kunak Jaya.
Kunak Fire and Rescue Station Chief, Madzlan Sarman, said six firefighters led by Stefanus Andreas Lolon arrived at the scene following a 7.14pm distress call.

“The warehouse, that have been abandoned for quite some time was completely destroyed,” he said.
The fire was brought under control by 7.20pm. On Monday, a house that belonged to Mansor Ontoh in Kg Kelabu, Beaufort was also destroyed by fire.

BEAUFORT: A 17-year-old foreigner was reported missing after he was believed to have fallen from his boat at the Padas River, here, Thursday.

The 5ft-tall teenager, identified as Andreanus Ola Kian, was last seen wearing jeans and a black t-shirt.
District Fire and Rescue Station Chief, Hasbollah Nenggok, on Friday, said the incident took place at Kg Bingkul.
A search and rescue operation was mounted following a 6pm distressed call on Thursday.
