Vigyan Bharati chairman lauds initiative of ‘Kumbh Sandesh Yatra’ team
Vijay Pandurang Bhatkar, known as the architect of the country’s initiative of supercomputing that has developed Param series of supercomputers, has complimented the ‘Kumbh Sandesh Yatra’ undertaken by GCOT, a not-for-profit organisation founded by the alumni of Osmania University, for spreading the message about the significance of Kumbh Mela.
The yatra led by founder of Gramodaya Chamber of Commerce and Technology D. Vasanth Kumar, a native of Zaheerabad, has reached Pune on March 8 after it was flagged off at Hyderabad on February 19 by Telangana Jagruthi president K. Public hearing on proposed project to be held on December 17
The round-table, convened by all political parties on Sunday, appealed to the 35 panchayats in the four mandals Movva, Guduru, Kalidindi and Machilipatnam in the Eastern Krishna district to pass grama sabha resolution against exploration of oil and natural gas. The Vedanta group has proposed to drill 35 borewells in the Kaza block in the Krishna-Godavari basin, exploring oil and natural gas.
The environmental public hearing would be held on the project at Tarakaturu village in Guduru mandal on December 17. The conference was chaired by CPI(M) East Krishna president R. Raghu and CPI district secretary Akkineni Vanaja at Kaza village.

Ongoing agitation opposing three capitals completes one year on Dec. 17
An all-party meeting jointly convened by the Amaravati Parirakshana Samithi Joint Action Committee (JAC) and Rythu Aikya Karyacharana Samithi (United Farmers’ Action Committee) on Thursday resolved to scale up the ongoing agitation in support of Amaravati as the sole capital of the State into a mass movement.
