ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) Rochester Fire crews report everyone made it out safe from a Thursday morning house fire on the city s southwest side.
Crews went to the scene of a home on Sherwood Avenue, just off of Chili Avenue around 2 a.m. Deputy Chief David Kaltenbach said the initial call on the scene was for multiple reports of a child still inside the home, causing a frantic search. Kaltenbach said the flames spread rapidly , forcing crews outside.
He said no child was found, and nobody was hurt.
The home was extensively damaged, and is unliveable. The Red Cross is helping out.
