UWM, MATC to receive $11 5 million through Froedtert Trust settlement

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Milwaukee Area Technical College will each receive $5.75 million for student scholarships as the result of a months-long legal fight over how Kurtis Froedtert s legacy to Milwaukee has been managed. Leaders at UWM and MATC say the scholarships, funded through grants from the Kurtis Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital Trust, will significantly impact hundreds, potentially thousands, of Milwaukee students.
