ORA hosts Miller Bluff volunteer cleanup in La Crosse

LA CROSSE, Wis (WKBT) ORA Trails and the La Crosse parks and recreation department are hositngt a volunteer cleanup event at Miller Bluff this weekend.
The event goes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. People are asked to sign up to ensure the event aligns with county guidelines for capacity. Visit http://www.oratrails.org/volunteer/.
The group will be focusing on cleaning up trash and graffiti while giving the park a spring facelift. The event is family-friendly and kids are encouraged to join in.
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - Volunteers are needed to help with a clean-up event on Saturday.
ORA trails and the City of La Crosse Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Department have scheduled the event on Miller Bluff from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
They re looking to pick up trash and clean up graffiti.
Families are encouraged to sign up for the clean-up.
In order for everyone to maintain safe capacity, they ask that anyone interested in volunteering sign up through the ORA Trails website here, and fill out a waiver before arriving Saturday morning.
While some PPE is available, volunteers should wear pants, closed toed shoes, bring gloves and wear a mask during their time there.

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) A self-guided site tour of the proposed expansion of hiking opportunities on a city-owned parcel on Miller Bluff from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16,
Participants should meet in the lower Hixon Forest parking lot off Bluff Pass Road and Milson Court. A tent and table will be set up with maps of the site available and members of the design team able to discuss the area.
Community members will have the opportunity to provide input in person, written response and through electronic survey.
Outdoor Recreation Alliance gathering feedback on new Miller Bluff trail in La Crosse

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) The Outdoor Recreation Alliance is ramping up its planning for a new hiking trail to get there the top of Miller Bluff from here, the lower Hixon Forest parking lot.
Participants in a virtual meeting on the topic that the city’s La Crosse Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department sponsored Wednesday evening were enthusiastic about the hiking trail on city-owned property.
Most of their interactions with ORA executive director Jed Olson focused on clarifications about what the trail might include.
