MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia(41NBC/WMGT)- Campus Police at Georgia Military College, responded to a report Thursday afternoon of a suspicious object found outside of Usery Hall.
Campus Police then contacted the Milledgeville Police Department and Georgia Bureau of Investigation to jointly investigate the incident and the found object.
Law enforcement determined the suspicious object to not be a threat. Milledgeville Police arrested 32-year-old Morgan Sills in connection to the incident.
Investigators say thanks to an investment of almost $750,000 in state-of-the-art surveillance equipment and technology by GMC, video footage was available to help identify the suspect, which subsequently lead to his arrest the same day the object was found.

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. The Milledgeville Police Department is looking for leads after a homicide Tuesday night.
According to a news release, it happened around 10:45 p.m. on West Charlton Court.
Police responded to the scene and found 30-year-old Gary Pennamon had been shot several times. He ended up dying at the scene.

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. A man was shot and killed in Milledgeville late Friday night.
According to a release from the Milledgeville Police Department, officers responded to a call around 9:30 p.m. of a gunshot victim.
30-year-old Keion Jackson was found around 1124 Oconee Street, he had been shot in the stomach.
Jackson was taken by Emergency Medical Services to Navicent Health in Milledgeville and then taken to Navicent Health in Macon where he died.

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. The Milledgeville Police Department is investigating after a man was shot in the area of North Columbia Street Saturday.
According to a news release, officers were called to 2400 North Columbia Street around 8:20 p.m. for a call of shots fired. When officers arrived they secured the crime scene and started investigating what happened.
Officers found the victim, 32-year-old Taki Miller, nearby and arrested Miller or charges from an unrelated case out of Metter, GA.
Police say they are searching for the alleged suspect, 49-year-old Melissa Preston, for questioning.
