Noel Mussen was at centre of Burren community life 19 December, 2020 01:00
NOEL Mussen was at the centre of community life in Burren, Co Down.
His sound judgment, wonderful humour and an unselfish willingness to share his talents for the betterment of everyone made him a hugely popular figure.
Noel always led by example, whether as chairman of St Mary’s Youth Club for many years or being instrumental in forming a Burren chapter of the St Vincent de Paul charity.
His awareness of the connection between church and community was also expressed through 20 years’ service on Burren parish committee.
And his love of Gaelic games and culture saw him become involved with Burren GAC, where his organisational skills and good nature were highly valued during his three years as club chairman.
