On Sunday, the state Department of Public Health warned patients with early-this-week appointments for the COVID-19 vaccine that their appointments could be canceled because of the snowstorm. They urged those patients to contact their vaccine provider to check on the vaccine status. On its website, Hartford Healthcare stated that its clinics at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport and its clinic on Research Drive in Shelton would be open Monday and Tuesday despite the storm. The morning clinics vaccinated close to 90 people, officials said.

The vaccination sites were closed because of the snowstorm. “We have a way in our electronic health record to move an entire schedule to a later day,” said Dr. Ohm Deshpande, vice president for population health and associate chief clinical officer. “Everybody will get rescheduled for this week, and that includes the weekend.”
