LETTER | A Malaysian s reflection in the pandemic

LETTER | A Malaysian’s reflection in the pandemic A - LETTER | On March 13, in South London of United Kingdom, hundreds of people gathered at the Sarah Everald Vigil to mourn the passing of Sarah Everald, a lady who was allegedly murdered by a police officer. This vigil, despite initially intended to run for only an hour in a peaceful and socially distanced fashion, was cracked down on by the police force. Several individuals were handcuffed. The official reason was to ensure no breach of the social distancing law - but people did not buy any of that. This sent a wave of rage across the country and turned the protest into the scale of thousands, demanding the resignation of the police commissioner.
