Barbados PM condemns assassination of Haiti’s president by Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Mottley. Prime Min­is­ter of Bar­ba­dos, Mia Mot­t­ley, has con­demned in the strongest terms, the as­sas­si­na­tion of Haiti s Pres­i­dent, Jovenel Moïse, de­scrib­ing it as “an atro­cious act”. And PM Mot­t­ley al­so is call­ing for an end to the vi­o­lence and for all Haitians to work to­wards peace in their coun­try. The Bar­ba­dos PM, along with T&T’s PM Row­ley, and oth­er CARI­COM Heads of Gov­ern­ment, are meet­ing in emer­gency ses­sion this morn­ing, to dis­cuss the sit­u­a­tion in Haiti, and work out a plan of ac­tion by which CARI­COM could help bring sta­bil­i­ty to the trou­bled coun­try.
