Celebratory Gunfire Damages Two Tuscaloosa Residences
The Tuscaloosa Police Department responded to 30 reports of celebratory gunfire within the Druid City on New Year s Eve.
TPD Public Information Officer Stephanie Taylor says the reports came in between 7:30 p.m on December 31 and 4:30 a.m. on January 1.
No injuries were reported as a result of the gunfire; however, stray bullets damaged two residences in Tuscaloosa.
A bullet came through the ceiling and shattered a window at a home on Mimosa Park Drive while the family was inside. A home on Second Avenue East was damaged when a bullet came through the living room ceiling; the family was also home at the time of this incident.
