Transelectrica invests 42 million Euro in the refurbishment of two substations in Western Romania

Transelectrica announces that the investment project to complete the 400 kV Banat Axis, part of the 400 kV Ring of Romania, marks important progress through the refurbishment of two key stations: Resita and Timisoara. These investments, with a total value of approximately 42 million euros, will make it possible to close the 400 kV Ring of Romania in the western area, a strategic project for the security of the country’s electricity supply and for the consolidation of the electricity transmission network and of the interconnection with the networks of the neighboring states. With the completion of the 400 kV Oradea Sud-Nadab Overhead Power Line section, in 2020, the degree of achievement of the 400 kV Ring of Romania reached is 70%.

Transelectrica to complete the modernization works for three power stations in Moldova by the end of 2021

Transelectrica announces that the modernization works for the Bacau Sud, Roman Nord and Focsani Vest power substations will be completed by the end of this year. The refurbishment and modernization of the transformer power stations are important steps in the realization of the investment projects that strengthen the Electric Transmission Network, according to the company. Cătălin Nițu, President of the Directorate of CNTEE Transelectrica SA: “The modernization of the Bacău Sud, Roman Nord and Focșani Vest stations will contribute to the safety and continuity of supply for users in this area. We aim to ensure the reliability of the National Energy System.
