Wigan mother-of-one, 34, jailed for drink driving

A woman has slammed a selfish mother-of-one who smashed into her car with a Mini before swapping seats with a friend in a bid to dodge a drink driving ban. Hairdresser Emma Gunning, 34, attempted to falsely claim she was the passenger of her silver Mini One after she ploughed into another vehicle while out looking for her missing pet dog.  Police arrived at the scene of the crash to find a male companion in the driver s seat of Gunning s car trying to start it. Today, Gunning was jailed for just eight weeks after she admitted driving with excess alcohol and obstructing police.

Teen charged following two-car crash on north-east road

The incident occurred around 1.35pm on Monday on the A947 Aberdeen to Banff road near Newmachar. One woman sustained minor injuries in the collision and was taken to A&E at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The vehicles involved were a Mini One and a BMW 320.

North Wales Police are looking for witnesses following the crash near Corwen

A MAN has been left with serious life threatening injuries following a road traffic collision near Corwen yesterday afternoon. North Wales Police Roads Policing Unit are investigating a collision which occurred about 2.30pm on the A5 between Llidiart y Parc and Glyn Dyfrdwy, near Corwen. It involved a silver coloured Mini One convertible car and a Vauxhall Mini Bus. The male driver of the Mini was airlifted to the Critical Care Unit at Aintree Hospital where he remains in a serious condition. Investigating Officer, PC Rich Priamo of the Roads Policing Unit said: “I’m urging anyone who may have been travelling on the A5 road between Glyn Dyfrdwy and Corwen that saw a Silver Mini One Convertible driving from Corwen towards Llangollen between 2.15pm and 2.30pm to contact us immediately.
