Police raid Supreme offices after director’s arrest for possessing stimulant drugs

TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police on Wednesday raided the offices of the Japan-based sales company for fashion brand Supreme after the arrest of the director over the alleged possession of stimulant drugs, reports Fuji News Network (Dec. 23).
Officers entered the office in Shibuya Ward in search of evidence connected to the alleged possession of 1.1 grams of
kakuseizai, or stimulant drugs, by director Kenichi Omura.
According to police, Omura, 52, was in possession of the contraband in a waiting area at the love hotel Alpha In in Minato Ward just after midnight on December 18.

TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested the director of the Japan-based sales company behind fashion brand Supreme over the alleged possession of stimulant drugs, reports Kyodo News (Dec. 23).
At just after midnight on December 18, an officer on patrol found Kenichi Omura, 52, to be in possession of 1.1 grams of
kakuseizai, or stimulant drugs, at a waiting area of a hotel in the Higashiazabu area of Minato Ward.
“I possessed [the drugs] for my own use,” Omura was quoted by the Azabu Police Station.

Two women found dead inside their residence in Osaka City last week starved to death, police have revealed, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Dec. 15).
On December 11, police working off a tip entered the residence in Minato Ward and found the bodies of both women inside.
The occupants of the residence were a woman in her 60s and her 42-year-old daughter.
On Monday, the Minato Police Station said that the cause of death for both was malnutrition. In the case of the older woman, the malnutrition caused her heart to fail. Her daughter was found to weigh about 30 kilograms.
Both women had both been dead for several months. Police entered the residence after an employee of the management company for the unit contacted one of their relatives. “Mail is piling up,” the employee said.
Tokyo cops hunt for man over convenience store robbery in Shibaura

TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police are hunting for a man who robbed a convenience store in Minato Ward on Monday, reports TBS News (Dec. 14).
At just past 5:30 p.m., the man entered the outlet of Community Store in the Shibaura area.
After wielding a knife in front of two female clerks, he fled the scene with 60,000 yen in cash taken from a register.
