Squirrels Reportedly Being Shot With Darts in East St. Cloud
Robbi Hoy says on Thursday they started receiving calls about several squirrels with darts in their bodies along Kilian Blvd.
I received a photo with a squirrel with a dart in its face and back. Since then I received more photos with different squirrels with darts in them, and heard of a rabbit with a dart in its back, but I haven t seen a photo of the animal yet.
She says not only is shooting a weapon within city limits a crime, but cruelty to animals, and are asking anyone with information to step up and help find the person responsible.

(KNSI) – A St. Cloud wildlife rehab organization is asking for the public’s help to find out who is firing darts at animals.
Central Minnesota Wildlife Rehabilitation posted on its Facebook page Sunday that at least three animals were spotted with darts sticking out of their bodies within the last 24 hours.
The group is asking residents near the Killian Boulevard area between the Lincoln Depot and Munsinger Clemens Gardens to take pictures and try to capture the injured animals.
If you see an animal with a dart sticking out of its body, you’re asked to contact the Central Minnesota Wildlife Rehabilitation Center by email.
The post to their Facebook page on Sunday, January 31st said:
If you live near the Kilian Blvd SE (between Lincoln Depot and Munsinger) area in St. Cloud, we need help getting photos and capturing animals that have darts sticking out of their bodies. Someone in the area has been shooting animals and the animals have been left to wander with these injuries.
The post went on to share that there were three reported incidents within 24 hours of animals with darts in their bodies. In the comments, it was revealed that the animals were squirrels. The Facebook page is collecting information from anyone that might have it so this can better be reported to the St. Cloud police department. Anyone that has seen these animals or others with darts in them, or has pictures of them are being asked to share.
