Golden Valley Menards worker killed in forklift accident Someone found the employee unconscious and pinned beneath the forklift. Author: A worker at the Golden Valley Menards was killed in a forklift accident Thursday. Police were called to the store at 6800 Wayzata Blvd. around 10:05 a.m., when a 911 caller said the male employee was unconscious and pinned under a forklift, the Golden Valley Police Department said. Officers determined a pallet of lumber had fallen on the forklift as the victim was operating it, killing him. In a statement shared by reporter Mary McGuire, the store said its employees were in shock and offered thoughts and prayers to the man s family.

Menards employee dies at Golden Valley location after pallet falls on fork lift

Updated: 8:09 PM CDT July 22, 2021 GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. Golden Valley PD says a male employee died Thursday morning while working at Menards after a wooden pallet of lumber fell on his forklift. Police responded to the 6800 block of Wayzata Boulevard, after receiving reports that the employee was pinned under the machine and unconscious. They located him dead upon arrival. Not long after the incident, a group of individuals - some of whom claimed to know the victim - gathered outside the Golden Valley Menards to express their frustrations, with a woman claiming to be the victim s sister claiming the victim had no training on the fork lift.
