The campaign to tackle old and unsafe motorbikes, which are responsible for a large portion of vehicle emissions in Vietnam’s big cities, was initiated on Monday in Hiep Binh Phuoc Ward in Thu Duc City. Traffic police officers spent Tuesday handling motorbikes in bad conditions in Cho Lon, District 5.

The Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control in Hai Phong on Monday said that the case was discovered by police in Dai Ban Commune, An Duong District and a task force of Van Tien Village during a patrol session on Sunday.

The 23-year-old man in question has been transferred to a makeshift hospital for COVID-19 treatment in the city, the health department said in a report on Monday. He is in stable health but suffers nasal congestion and chesty coughing.
