Traffic police in Ho Chi Minh City have continued the campaign to deal with dilapidated motorbikes that lack license plates, headlights, rear-view mirrors, and horns, as well as cases of driving under the influence (DUI).
The campaign to tackle old and unsafe motorbikes, which are responsible for a large portion of vehicle emissions in Vietnam’s big cities, was initiated on Monday in Hiep Binh Phuoc Ward in Thu Duc City.
Traffic police officers spent Tuesday handling motorbikes in bad conditions in Cho Lon, District 5.
