Every day for nearly two decades, a 47-year-old woman has pulled cart containing up to 60kg of vegetables each for charity kitchens in Ho Chi Minh City.
People call her the quiet veggie lady.
She quickly pulls her cart, heading to a kiosk inside Thu Duc Wholesale Market in Ho Chi Minh City as on the other end of the line, someone told Phuong that they saved her some bunches of leafy greens.

Heavy rain and wind gusts on Monday afternoon uprooted a tree in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, crushing a passing motorbike and injuring two riders.
The incident transpired around 2:00 pm on Nguyen Cong Tru Street in Nguyen Thai Binh Ward, where the two victims, 41-year-old Tran Thi Thuy L. and an unidentified driver, were passing when the tree fell on them.
It was later revealed that the driver was transporting L. on a Grab ride.

Police in the southern Vietnamese province of Dong Nai on Wednesday inspected nine locations and arrested a company director for being involved in a huge fake gasoline ring that sold 200 million liters of bogus and substandard gasoline to the market.
The Dong Nai Department of Public Security confirmed it had apprehended Tran Huy Lap, general director of Phuc Lam Petro JSC.
Dong Nai police also coordinated with officers under the Ministry of Public Security and their counterparts in Ho Chi Minh City, southern Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, southern Binh Phuoc Province, and the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong to examine nine locations, including Laps’ house, Phuc Lam’s headquarters, and some filling stations.

In Ho Chi Minh City, registration booths for the chip-based ID card are staying open until midnight to collect forms and information from citizens, with food, air conditioners, and TV shows in place for the waiting queue.
As witnessed in Linh Trung and Tam Binh Wards of Ho Chi Minh City’s Thu Duc City, ID card registration at the local police stations is not closed until the early hours in the morning, despite the official opening time frame being from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm.
