(WCSC) - Midway Fire Rescue says crews responded to two boating incidents on Saturday. Authorities said Water Resources responded to a boat emergency call out of the DeBordieu Boat Landing for an individual in the water having a medical emergency around 7:40 p.m. on Saturday. According to Mark Nugent with Midway Fire Rescue, the individual in the water was put onto a fire department boat, taken back to the dock and transported to the hospital in stable condition.

The chief of police said that the preliminary investigation shows that Gore was trying to get some debris out of the road when he was hit.
