WAUWATOSA, WI Mother s Day is hard for Wauwatosa mom Autumn Gentry without her 3-year-old daughter, Isla. The little girl, who was affectionally nicknamed Isla Bear, died in August from acute myeloid leukemia, an aggressive form of cancer. Autumn Gentry (second from left) with her husband, Michael. Gentry and her husband, Michael Gentry, miss her fuzzy-head snuggles, dance moves and giant hugs, Autumn Gentry said.
Here’s a brief history of Candy Cane Lane from its website:
In December,1984, a wonderful group of neighbors living in West Allis, Wisconsin, joined together to collect donations for the MACC Fund Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer, Inc., in honor of a neighbor’s child diagnosed with cancer. The neighbors worked in concert in decorating their homes and encouraged visitors to make a small donation as they drove through the festively enhanced neighborhood. All of the money raised went to supporting research, treatment, and the eventual discovery of a cure for childhood cancers and related blood diseases.
The group chanted “Black lives matter” and “Black children matter” while marching through the streets holding signs and at least one participant was dressed as Santa Claus.

This story truly means that 2020 has jumped the Shark but this time Fonzi did not survive.
Thankfully for him.
The nonsense that this year has given rise to is mindboggling unless you have watched any season of the Jersey Shore to which then you could have predicted this coming years ago. This leads me to the movement knows as “Black Lives Matter” (don’t all, but I digress) which has made a mark for itself this year by protesting here there, and everywhere. No matter where they are, this group reserves upon itself the right to protest and cause disruption for the cause.

Last night ( 12/18 ) Black Lives Matter showed up to Candy Cane Lane in West Allis ( suburb of Milwaukee ).
For 35 years, Candy Cane LaneIt is a neighborhood Christmas lights display that collect s donations from the community for the MACC Fund – which stands for Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer, Inc.
Sources on the scene said that some of the protestors not only violated traffic laws, but shouted expletives at families who live in the neighborhood. Check out the video below.
Most of them also appear not to be following COVID protocols.
