Midwest Can Reaches Agreement with the EPA on Emissions Testing

Midwest Can Company, LLC (“Midwest Can”), an Illinois-based manufacturer of portable fuel containers (“PFCs”) for the safe handling, usage and storage of flammable liquids, today announced that it has reached an agreement with the Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”) regarding two product lines that were previously discontinued. The settlement relates to alleged Clean Air Act violations for emissions testing initially conducted in 2008 and early 2009 in the infancy of the federal PFC emissions testing program when the industry and EPA-certified laboratories were working to put the new testing protocols into practice.
