Before Kenny Blakeney and Mike Brey became Division I basketball coaches, they graduated from the same high school, DeMatha Catholic in Maryland. Brey used to run the JV squad at this hoops powerhouse, and he also taught American history for six classes a day. When Blakeney got in touch last offseason to pitch an idea, he knew Brey would understand its purpose, potential, and merit beyond the court.
The idea was this: On Jan. 18, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Brey s Notre Dame Fighting Irish would visit Howard University in D.C. to squeeze a nationally televised, non-conference road game into the thick of their ACC schedule. Blakeney is Howard s head coach and a D.C. native. If pandemic protocols allowed, he envisioned his opponents touring the King memorial, the site of King s I Have a Dream speech, and the

Vikings’ offseason plan v2.0

In my first offseason plan, I guesstimated the cap would come in at $195M based on a report I read online.
Since then, there have been more reports that the cap will be well below that number and will likely come in at $181M. That is a large difference. Reporting is out there from November 2020 that projects the NFL teams would lose about $2.7 billion due to having no fans at the games. That comes out to $84.375M per team.
Before Covid, overthecap (OTC) had projected the 2021 thru 2025 caps as .

Oh, hello. We’ve missed you. It’s been 11 months or so because, yeah, things have been happening and stuff. But college basketball games are being played for some g-dforsaken reason, and, sometimes, good things happen. Sports! So have no fear. Because while you were helping your computer-illiterate parents schedule vaccine appointments, we were just chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool….and all shooting some b-ball outside of the (virtual) school.
And after your Hoyas marched into Nebraska and stunned the mighty Jays, we figured it was time, oh yes definitely time, for this long overdue edition of THE CASUAL AWARDS. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the malfunctioning shot clock nearest you.

Here is an article that makes sound speculation from actual agents that believe the cap will NOT be as low as $175,000,000 which is what overthecap is using now.
One agent said the expectation is the cap for 2020 will at least remain steady. Another agent said he expected it to touch $200 million. Another was planning for $195 million.
I have always believed this was going to be the case as it makes too much sense. For this exercise, I am going to go with a cap of $195,000,000.
