Peonies will be coming into bloom soon. They are an end of May flower, but if the weather is not windy and rainy, they continue to bloom the first part of June.
They are so big that just a few make a bouquet. The range of colors is from deep red to pristine white to rose, pink and yellow.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have them longer, such as at an August wedding or maybe on your Thanksgiving table? Impossible and unbelievable. Except that the University of Michigan Extension thinks otherwise. They suggest cutting before they bloom and cold storage.
