Jewell Jones reportedly facing charges following vehicle accident Posted: Wednesday 04.07.2021 2:25 pm Revised: Thursday 04.08.2021 2:25 pm INKSTER Sources have reported that Michigan State Representative Jewell Jones is awaiting arraignment following a vehicle accident. Jones (D-Inkster), represents the 11th District, which is all of Garden City and Inkster and portions of Dearborn Heights, Livonia and Westland. He is 25-years-old and reportedly facing multiple charges following an accident on I-96 near Fowlerville. “I can confirm troopers from the Michigan State Police Brighton Post were dispatched to a crash in Livingston County along I-96 last night, Tuesday, April 6,” MSP spokeswoman Lori Dougovito told the Detroit Free Press. “The resulting investigation led to the arrest of a 25-year-old male from Inkster. The report has been submitted to the Livingston County Prosecutor’s Office for review.”

March 11, 2021 A woman has been charged in connection with a police chase in Livingston County. 22-year-old Brooklyn Alexander of Holt is facing charges of fleeing and eluding following the incident that occurred March 1st at about 10:15pm. Livingston County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to stop a vehicle reported stolen out of the Lansing area on westbound I-96 near Latson Road. When it failed to stop, a pursuit began that continued onto southbound D-19. Alexander reportedly lost control near David Road, ran off the roadway and struck a fence, where she fled on foot but was eventually apprehended. Deputies on scene were assisted by troopers from the Michigan State Police Brighton Post.

March 2, 2021 Two high-speed chases in two days put two suspects behind bars, both facing felony charges. The first incident occurred at about 3:20 Sunday morning when a Livingston County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to stop a vehicle near the Village of Fowlerville because it did not have a license plate. The vehicle failed to stop and fled onto westbound I-96. The pursuit was terminated at the Livingston/Ingham County line. However, approximately a half-hour later, that same vehicle was observed near Grand River and Gregory Road in Handy Township. When a deputy attempted to stop it, the vehicle again fled, this time eastbound on Grand River and then headed northbound on Fowlerville Road, where it struck a deer north of Sharpe Road and became disabled.
