A person has died in a Tuesday morning house fire, the Manistee County Sheriff's Office stated. Cleon Township firefighters were called at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday after Manistee Central Dispatch received a call that a fire alarm was going off at 17611 Wells Road.

MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, MI One person was taken to the hospital following a house fire in Marquette Township Sunday.
Firefighters were dispatched around 7:30 p.m. to 695 County Road 492 in Deer Track Village and found heavy smoke coming from the building.
Crews entered the house, attacked the fire and located one person, who was taken to UPHS-Marquette. Their condition is unknown at this time.
A dog in the home was able to get out on its own.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Michigan State Police Fire Marshal.
