Victims of Dickinson County house fire identified, cause remains under investigation | News, Sports, Jobs

IRON MOUNTAIN The victims of a Thursday house fire in Iron Mountain have been identified. The homeowners, Roy Kline, 78, and MaryAnn Kline, 66, were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Michigan State Police Iron Mountain Post. MSP said the troopers from the Iron Mountain Post responded to a report of a large explosion at a residence along Fordville Road in Dickinson County at about 9:50 a.m. Thursday. Two fire marshal investigators from the MSP were flown in from Lansing to assist in the investigation. The cause of the explosion remains under investigation. Troopers at the scene were assisted by Nordic Ambulance, the Breen Township Fire Department and the Felch Township Fire Department.

At approximately 9:50 a.m., troopers from the Michigan State Police Iron Mountain Post responded to a report of a large explosion at a residence on Fordville Road. The bodies of two victims of the fire and explosion were found at the scene. Police are not releasing the names of the victims at this time, and an investigation into the cause of the explosion and fire is ongoing.
