Each of the public television stations has made its own dedicated channel for the Michigan Learning Channel,
WNIT will air the Michigan Learning Channel on the channel 34.5, starting June 1, 2021.
“The Michigan Learning Channel will serve as a nice complement and excellent extension of our PBS KIDS programming,” said Steve Funk, the WNIT Associate General Manager and Vice President Development & Marketing.
The Michigan Learning Channel is replacing the At-Home-Learning channel, which WNIT broadcasted on channel 34.5 since the start of the pandemic.

MANISTEE Not all teaching takes place in the classroom.
Shannon Fuller, a K-3 literacy coach with the Manistee Intermediate School District, has been working with the Michigan Learning Channel to create hours of educational programming for the state s young learners. The Michigan Learning Channel provides educational programs for K-3 students that align with the Michigan teaching standards and also with the Michigan Essential Instructional Practices, Fuller said. The programs are great for the students, they re great for families to watch and they would even be a great resource for teachers.
