KINGSTON – Spinal injury patients, senior citizens and the hungry all received something special from the children at Sacred Heart School – a sense of community.
Each class created either a large card or a poster to be hung at the VA Hospital in Brockton for spinal injury patients. That’s roughly 100 cards or posters made by children in preschool through eighth grade.
The children created about 250 Valentine’s Day cards for Plymouth-area senior citizens through Full Plates Full Hearts, a program that delivers fresh food to local seniors on weekends.
They also held a food drive for St. Joseph’s Food Pantry in Kingston. It was the third food drive for St. Joseph’s this school year.
