Judge Sentences Oak Grove Shooting Suspect on Drug Charges

  An Oak Grove man charged in connection to the 2018 shooting of a woman on Meridians Way was sentenced in Christian Circuit Court on drug trafficking, fleeing and evading police, and wanton endangerment charges Wednesday morning. 21-year old Adrian Murray and his defense attorney Michael Thompson along with Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Stephanie Bolen appeared before Chief Circuit Judge John Atkins for sentencing after he entered into a plea agreement with an eight-year sentence for those charges. During questioning by Bolen regarding his pre-sentence investigation, Murray was argumentative about the amount of cocaine and marijuana he possessed at the time of his arrest as well as other information presented from the report.

Oak Grove shooting suspect sentenced on drug charges, assault charges set for trial

The Oak Grove man accused of being involved in an Oak Grove shooting of a woman on Meridians Way in 2018 appeared in Christian Circuit Court Judge John Atkins’ courtroom Wednesday morning to be sentenced on his drug-related charges while his assault charge is still scheduled to be tried by jury. Adrian L. Murray, 22, is accused of shooting Keosha Willis on Meridians Way in Oak Grove in 2018 and was charged with first-degree assault, first-degree trafficking in cocaine, trafficking in marijuana, first-degree fleeing or evading police, two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment and second-degree fleeing or evading police. Murray recently entered a guilty plea deal to eight years in prison on all counts excluding the assault charge.
