The writer equates one illegal vote being too many as a justification for depriving thousands of people of the opportunity to vote.
I m assuming the writer has the wherewithal to get to a voting place, and can afford a picture ID, but many of our citizens are not as blessed.
No matter what kinds of restrictions you place on voting, there will always be the very few instances of someone voting illegally. But the total absence of any evidence of widespread voter fraud is, in my opinion, enough to warrant the strongest efforts to make voting accessible to all of our citizens, rather than making yet another blatant attempt to restrict that right.
