The Times-Mail BEDFORD Lawrence County has received its first disbursement of the American Rescue Plan funding, to the tune of more than $4.4 million, commissioners said during Tuesday morning s meeting. The money will be held, while the county receives guidance from the Baker Tilly firm on how they can legally use the funds, given the heavy restrictions placed on them. Other business discussed included Jason Lewis, chief of the Marshall Township Volunteer Fire Department, receiving approval from commissioners to apply for a public facilities grant that would be used for a new Marshall Township fire station. Lewis said the department has outgrown its current facility.
