A Colorado man died following a weather-related crash on Interstate 24 in Marshall County Monday afternoon.
Kentucky State Police say the crash happened around 1:55 near Calvert City at mile marker 27 in the westbound lanes of I-24 when a car driven by 77-year-old Adrian Pyle of Englewood, Colorado, ran off the interstate and hit the guardrail. When Pyle re-entered the roadway in the right lane of travel. State police say 43-year-old David Marks of Buncombe, IL, was following behind Pyle. Marks reportedly attempted to stop and help Pyle but was unable to avoid a collision with Pyle’s car.
Pyle was taken to Marshall County Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Marks was not injured in the crash.
