St. Martinville Man Arrested on Numerous Drug Charges
41-year-old Marcus Bourda of St. Martinville has been arrested after his alleged reckless driving helped lead to him getting busted on numerous drug charges.
St. Martin Parish Sheriff Becket Breaux says deputies were acting on a report of suspected illegal drug activity at a home in the 1400 block of Boon Lasseigne Road in St. Martinville. On their way to the home, deputies noticed Bourda driving recklessly, so they stopped him. Deputies say he was headed to that home.
Sheriff Breaux says Bourda did make it to that home, but with an escort from deputies who executed a warrant and have charged him with the following:

ST MARTIN PARISH â A Breaux Bridge man has been arrested, accused of cruelty to juveniles after alleged physical abuse of an infant resulted in broken bones.
St. Martin Parish Sheriff Becket Breaux says that on December 25, 2020, deputies responded to a local hospital in reference to a report of alleged physical abuse of an infant.
An investigation into the allegations was initiated, and during the course of the investigation, Breaux says that deputies learned that the infant had sustained several broken bones. Following that investigation an arrest warrant was obtained for 25-year-old Cole Horton of Breaux Bridge.
Breaux Bridge Man Accused in Alleged Infant Abuse on Christmas
25-year-old Cole Horton of Breaux Bridge has been arrested for allegedly putting an infant into the hospital with several broken bones on Christmas Day.
St. Martin Parish Sheriff Becket Breaux says, in a press release, that Horton was arrested on Thursday and has been booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on 1 count of Second Degree Cruelty to Juveniles (Felony).
No bond has been set at this time.
