For selvom præsten boede i Frederikssund, så har han haft sin daglige gang i Hedehusene, hvor han i kraft af sin præstegerning har haft berøring med mange mennesker og taget del i deres glæder og sorger.
Det har også været tydeligt på blandt andet Facebook, at sagen har berørt mange mennesker, som eksempelvis har fået deres barn døbt eller er blevet viet af Thomas Gotthard.
Alligevel ønsker menighedsrådet ved Ansgarkirken ikke at kommentere på, hvordan sagen har påvirket kirken, og hvordan man nu fremadrettet vil komme videre.
Allerede fra sagens begyndelse hyrede menighedsrådet og kirken presserådgiver Morten Jeppesen til at hjælpe med pressehåndteringen af sagen, og hele vejen igennem har reaktionen været »ingen kommentarer«. Efter gårsdagens dom henviser både menighedsråd, præster og provsten igen til presserådgiveren, og herfra lyder det fortsat: Ingen kommentarer.

Schela Plast, recently acquired by converter Robinson, is working on a project to improve recycling technology and pave the way for more plastics to be able to retain its value, rather than being downcycled. The company is working with the Danish Technological Institute.
Project manager, Sofie Kastbjerg, said: “Although in Denmark we are good at collecting plastics packaging from households, only a small part of the plastics is turned back into products of the same quality. The Et MUDP project, supported by the Danish Environmental Protection Agency, must now pave the way for more plastics recycling to be made circular.
