One man is in jail and another critically injured following a crash in Ishpeming Township.
Michigan State Police Troopers say they were investigating an underage drinking party in the Greenwood Reservoir Area on Memorial Day.
A vehicle driven by a 21–year–old Escanaba man crashed as it left the area.
A 20 year old man from Escanaba was ejected from the vehicle and suffered critical injuries.
A second passenger was also injured in the crash.
The driver was lodged in the Marquette County Jail pending arraignment.
The investigation is ongoing.
MARQUETTE, MI A Marquette man was arrested Saturday for stalking children.
City Police say William Harris, 78, is charged with two counts of aggravated stalking of a minor and two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon (felonious assault). The alleged victims in the case are two minor children.
Harris is charged in an unrelated case with prostitution/pandering and aggravated indecent exposure. He is also charged with being a habitual offender, fourth offense, as he was previously convicted of multiple sex crimes against children in Marquette Circuit Court in 2004.
Harris remains lodged in the Marquette County Jail on a $300,000 bond.
UPDATE: The Marquette County Sheriff s Office says Phillips has been taken into custody.
MARQUETTE, MI The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a fugitive 19-year-old woman.
On April 5 Chenoa Phillips was arrested and lodged at the Marquette County Jail for possession of meth. She was released from jail on a personal recognizance bond April 7, ordered to wear a GPS monitoring device, and told to report immediately to drug treatment. Phillips removed the tether later that day and failed to report to treatment.
Phillips is described as 5’6” and 138 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.
Anyone with knowledge of Phillips’ current location is asked to call 911. Anyone with knowledge of her possible location is asked to call the MCSO tip line at 906-225-8441.

MARQUETTE –The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office announced that a wanted fugitive was taken into custody at 2 p.m. Tuesday after requesting the public’s assistance in locating the individual.
On Monday, Chenoa Rae Phillips, 19, was taken into custody and lodged in the Marquette County Jail on a charge of possession of methamphetamine.
On April 7, Phillips was released from jail with a personal recognizance bond, ordered to wear a GPS monitoring device and immediately report to drug treatment.
Phillips, according to the sheriff’s office, removed the GPS monitoring device later the same day and failed to report to treatment as ordered by the court.
