Tonight’s the night where The Basketball Tournament crowns their 2021 Champion. Boeheim’s Army has been chasing this crown for seven summers, can they bring it home tonight?
Trying to keep them from grabbing that brass ring is Team 23. Led by Overseas Elite HC Marc Hughes this experienced group has rolled to the title game with only one of their wins by less than eight points. They came out of the West Virginia region where they knocked off hometown favorites Thundering Heard and Best Virginia. Then they took care of Sideline Cancer and Blue Collar U to set up this final.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. Team 23’s 74-71 victory over Herd That in Monday’s second-round TBT matchup may have been advantageous in more ways than allowing the team to advance to Wednesday’s 9 p.m. regional final against Best Virginia.
The victory over Marshall’s alumni-based squad came on JD Sword’s 3-pointer just before the shot clock expired during an Elam Ending with a target score of 72. Sword’s triple silenced the largely partisan Herd That crowd at Charleston Coliseum, which will be an obstacle Team 23 faces again in the round-of-16 matchup with Best Virginia.

ALBANY Restaurants and taverns are expanding their seating and their hours as pandemic restrictions continue to ease, but many New Yorkers are continuing to drink at home.
Sales at beer and wine and liquor stores across New York jumped during the first year of the pandemic and plummeted by even greater percentages at sit-down establishments. The two may be balancing each other out: Industry figures show only small changes in overall sales from year to year.
Several local alcohol retailers told The Gazette this past week that their sales have remained strong even as the COVID-19 crisis that fueled their sales boom subsided.
