National chain Buffalo Exchange will move as Elliston Place project looms
Buffalo Exchange, a national retail chain that buys, sells and trades vintage and good-condition used clothing and accessories, is relocating but staying near the Rock Block.
With a redevelopment project looming next to its current home, the retailer will move to the space last home to William Edge salon and with an address at
2214 Elliston Place. A June transition is being eyed and the future project is partly dictating the relocation, an official with the company that owns Buffalo Exchange emailed the
Post.
The store, which is home to 12 employees, has operated from about 3,300 square feet of space at
Tennessee Lookout reports.
Located at 2208 Elliston Place on the so-called Rock Block, the property offers about 0.5 acres. Anthony Rentals and Gene Nash, among others, own the property, having paid $150,000 for it in 1976, according to Metro records.
Of note, Anthony Rentals sold for $2.9 million a separate Rock Block property in July 2020 to an entity tied to Nashville-based developer Tony Giarratana and real estate investor (and long-time Giarratana friend) Marc Stengel. The addresses of the property slated for a major update (read

The owners of the Exit/In property have enlisted Axson West, a principal with Nashville-based Southeast Venture, to handle the marketing and sale of the property.
