A man shot by police after allegedly pointing a gun at a woman and an officer in a Southwest D.C. apartment has died, police say.

Officers responding to a report of a domestic disturbance in an apartment building near Arena Stage and the Southwest Waterfront Metro Station about 9 p.m. were interviewing a man and a woman, police said.
A man is dead after being shot by a police officer responding to a domestic dispute in Southwest D.C. on Friday night, police said.
Terrance Maurice Parker, 36 of Southeast, was identified as the armed man shot by a D.C. police officer Friday.
D.C. police said officers responded to a domestic abuse call just before 9 p.m. at an apartment in the 1100 block of 4th Street, near M Street.
While interviewing the two people at the residence, police said Parker took out a hand gun and pointed it at an adult female and one of the officers.
D.C. police said one of the officers responded by shooting Parker.

President John Toulze told The Chronicle that he ultimately made the decision to shut down after seeing plans for a protest outside the restaurant circulate on social media, citing concerns over the staff s safety.
