The winner of the 50/50 raffle – Winnipeg Police Credit Union – was announced at the official digital draw on Canada Day, taking half of the total ticket sales revenue of $92,565. The Winnipeg Police Credit Union announced they are donating their winnings back to the Children’s Hospital Foundation.
“Congratulations and kudos to Cal Berzuk and the Winnipeg Police Credit Union for their outstanding gesture of donating their share of the raffle total to the CHFM,” said Sabourin in a press release. “The $92,565 is much needed by the CHFM as the COVID-19 pandemic negatively affected their usual fundraising initiatives.”
