My interest in writing began with an alphabet book. I was captivated with the bold, colorful letters that graced each page, fascinated with the images that accompanied each letter. The book was beautiful in its simplicity. Though I’m willing to bet there are a lot of people who can claim the same start to their journey into reading and writing, few remember it. It’s an alphabet book, after all. Most were infants when they first had an alphabet read to them. Toddlers at best.

Dorothy Ann IVANCO
We’ve shared our lives, these many years,

Dorothy was born October 13, 1947 in Natal, BC. She joined the Canadian Navy in 1966 and returned home in 1967 due to a medical discharge. On September 28, 1968, Dorothy married the love of her life, Ron Ivanco. Together they moved to Hosmer before finally settling in Sparwood where they have made their life and raised their family.
Memories were made camping at Loon Lake, gardening, doing crosswords, and spending time with family and friends, as well as kicking butt at Jeopardy!
