White Buffalo Saloon set to close
A Sarasota country music nightclub, restaurant/bar and venue that hosted concerts by national names in the genre has announced that it will soon shut its doors.
White Buffalo Saloon s last day of business at its 5377 McIntosh Road location will be June 19, the establishment announced on social media. Co-owner Michael Evanoff confirmed the closure, and said they are looking at other locations to reopen White Buffalo Saloon.
“We just want to say thank you to all our customers and all of our staff through the years, Evanoff said. It’s been great.”
The building and land are being purchased by Calusa Brewing, the nearby brewery s co-owner Victor Falck confirmed. Calusa s current location on 5701 Derek Ave. will become its core production facility, while its taproom will move to the former White Buffalo Saloon space, which will also serve as a secondary production location.
