Doha: The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced the implementation of a temporary traffic diversion on a part of Abdullah Bin Jassim Street, between Jabr Bin Mohamed and Grand Hamad Streets.
The traffic on this part will be converted to a one-way road consisting of two lanes in the direction from Jabr Bin Mohamed Street to Grand Hamad Street. The closure will be implemented today (May 8). It will remain in place for 6 months.
The closure will be implemented in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, and it aims to allow the implementation of the infrastructure development and beautification works on Abdullah Bin Jassim Street, as part of Doha central Development and Beautification Projects - Package 2A.

New signing Michael Olunga fired a hat-trick on his Amir Cup debut as former champions Al Duhail yesterday scored three goals in each half to crush Al Ahli 6-0 and cruise into the quarter-finals of the country’s most popular tournament at Grand Hamad Stadium.
Also yesterday, Second Division side Al Shamal stunned Qatar SC (5-4) on penalties after a 2-2 draw, while Al Kharaitiyat edged Al Wakrah 2-1 to book their last-8 spots.
